Am I able choose my own times and dates for my events?
Since this venue is also our home, we host events that reflect our values and vision. A conversation helps us ensure we are the right fit before we confirm any dates. Once the form is submitted, Nancy will be in touch with you to discuss details.
In order for us to keep life in balance - the art and living space has specific times available for events
Weekend events for the 2026 year take place on the 3rd weekend of each month in 2026.
What are the costs?
Workshops/events are non-residential. Booking times and prices (updated February 2026) as follows:
This time frame includes set up and pack up. Please talk to us should you require more time and/or perhaps take a double slot.
Your payment includes your event featured on the artandlivingspace website.
Please note: Bookings are made through your booking system and you are required to market your event in your own way to collect your audience.
The art and living space reserves the right to have one free place on your workshop, please include us in your numbers and share relevant information about the event.
An extra cost of $50 is required for use of kitchen space.
How would I book an event ?
You must enquire about holding an event at the Art and Living Space, please contact Nancy Barclay at info@artandlivingspace.nz or call 027 276 2786 to arrange a meeting.
Payment of the deposit confirms your place once we have met and discussed your plans. Payment reference your full name and event name: 02-0544-0047093-000 BNZ the art and living space
Non-refundable deposit payment is required at the time of booking.
For weekdays bookings, payment is required before the event.
What is the next step, once I have booked and paid?
Please fill in the intake form at least six weeks before your event in order for us to share it to our audience. See intake form above.
Check our website for your event page link, and that the details are correct, start advertising your event to your audience.
Keep in touch, communicate your needs to us and ask any questions that arise.
What do you provide to support my event?
We have a broad range of ‘gear’ that can be used for your event:
Equipment: Projector, large whiteboard, 40 chairs, yoga mats, and floor cushions.
Kitchenware: Cups, water glasses, jugs, and a hot water heater.
Support: Access to a staff member to assist with your event.
Marketing: Your event will be featured on the venue's website.
What do you provide in the way of advertising for my event?
Your event will feature on the artandlivingspace website and we will direct our bookings to your marketing. All bookings are made through your booking system and you are also required to market your event - to gather your audience
Final check list for my Event
Ensure you have agreed time and date with Nancy and room rental has been paid.
Remember to include a free spot for art and living space staff member
All events must take place within the booking time - including set up and pack up, so as not to interfere with another event
Provide a list of participants and their contact details, with a copy for us - this tells us who is on the property that day.
Remind your participants of your event and how to get here, where to park and how to enter the building
Bring refreshments and gear for your event if you’re providing it
Please communicate before the day if there is a need to use the kitchen as there is an extra cost
Your own planning, resources, paper, pens, laptop and materials you need for your event
Let us know whether you are using the projector as there is preparation to do in advance
Bring promotional material for future events, advertising flyers, details of future planned events and even things to sell
Please ensure you remind your class about the toilet facilities and the emergency exits at the start of your event
Please be clear with your group about the finish times. Maybe even allow an extra half hour for chat when planning your event. (People love to stay and chat afterwards)
